A poor Hendon were well beaten by Wingate & Finchley in the Middlesex Senior Cup this evening at Silver Jubilee Park.

After a bright opening quarter of an hour, a Charlie Ruff penalty gave the visitors the lead which was extended just after the half hour mark Henry Ochieng’s strike from the edge of the box went through Patrick Ohman.

Ohman redeemed himself with a fine save just before the break before Reece Mitchell reduced the arrears as the Greens pushed to get back into the game before Alan Fleming fired home to secure Wingate’s progress into the last 8.
