Monday 26 August 2013 saw Hendon scrape a point against former near-neighbours Wingate and Finchley FC. Both sides were finding their form and it made for a nervous game. Lee Angol scored in added time to equalise from Leo Smith’s earlier goal. A point apiece does not give credit to he action – yellow cards, substitutions and injuries. You had to be there.
